This is a very delayed weekly report which will cover what I have learnt in Maya over the past few weeks.
Prior to using Maya, I had experience using modelling software (Autodesk 3DS Max) so the overall approach to modelling wasn't too hard to grasp on a different yet very similar software.
Whilst using Maya I have learnt how to navigate through the menus and tools as well as getting a better understanding of how unwrapping works on this software (as it seems very different to 3DS Max). Those were the main two things that I have found useful, other things that I have learnt that I didn't know from 3DS Max were the Duplicate Special tools and the different snapping techniques which are both things I never came across until Maya. Both of these techniques will help me in future modelling tasks, especially the Snapping tools.
