3D Modelling - Creating the UV for my Time Machine
This is the UV Map for my skull and have managed to get it into two UV islands. Originally I was UV-ing it a different method to what I did for this, the method I was previously using wasn't wrong it was just a longer process, before I selecting faces that were together and flat then using the planar project tool then unfolding them vertically and horizontally to create lots of separate UV islands. This is very time consuming in comparison to the other method I found myself. Near the Planar Project option I noticed there was a Spherical Projection option, and since my skull was very close to a spherical shape I just selected my whole mesh and used that projection instead and it worked a lot better then the method I was doing, I had to UV the external part of the Skull and the internal part of the skull separate so they didn't overlap but this was still much faster than what I was doing before and I'm glad I found it. Now I was ready to bake the details and patterns from my high poly onto the low poly.
