The process of making my prototype 'Bamboo Rush' has been a long one, it involved a lot of research through youtube tutorials and many blogs and forums. The outcome of making a playable concept is very rewarding and UE4 is something that I will continue to do in my own time now that I have learnt the basics and am able to troubleshoot issues myself without needing help from a tutor due to my lack of understanding of the the software.
If I were to make this prototype again there isnt really much I'd change in all honesty, I'm happy with the outcome of it and I didnt leave it to finish last minute either I managed to plan my time relatively well. However, though I believe I did well with my prototype, I misunderstood how much work was needed to go into a sell sheet, I left the last two weeks prior to the mid unit review to do my sell sheet because I thought two week would be enough but theres much more time and planning that needs to be involved that didnt even occur to me at the time. You need to think about arrangement, very specific information, how to display that information, make the sheet read well and get straight to the point etc and that was just a few examples. In my opinion I tunnel visioned/focused too hard and went straight into the prototype when I should have stepped back and looked at everything that needed to be done as a whole which would have left me more time for the sell sheet. Currently I'm happy with what I have created for my sell sheet, I just need to apply some feedback I have recieved to my current version then this should be done and out the way.
