3D Modelling - Mistake with High Poly



Whenever I decimated my high poly and exported it to Maya, the poly count was still unusually high, around 13k tri's. After about half an hour of re-exporting it to Maya and re-doing all the decimation again I found the problem, I realised that this small part was masked, meaning all the decimating of the high poly I did, this small part would be ignored since its been masked, this was the source of the high poly count. To fix this I just removed the mask then re-decimated, very easy to fix it just took me a while to find.
