3D Modelling - Time Machine High Poly
This is the completed high poly of my Mayan Skull Time Machine, I created the patterns myself (drew them on my iPad) and then sent them to my computer and put them into photoshop, then saved them as PSD's. From here I changed the brush setting to drag so I'd essentially be stamping the pattern on instead of brushing it on so I can keep the detail, then I imported them into Zbrush as an Alpha map for the brush so I can use the patterns I created on my actual model. Whilst applying the patterns I turned symmetry on so everything I did to one side would be even on the other.
Once that was done I just painted the odd bit of detail on the front of the skull with another brush myself then it was done. Since all the changes I made didn't effect the silhouette, I only need to bake the details onto my base mesh (which is also now my low poly) and not cut any details onto it from the high poly.
