Indie Development - 10 Game Designs (from a random word generator)

Kidnap Request Sentence
There has been a large number of kidnappings in the town in game and its your job to find and follow the clues to the kidnapper. Available on steam for PC, maybe a 16+ or 18+ due to the nature of the game. You walk around the kidnap scene with W, A, S and D and click on objects or clues that you find with the mouse. You win the game by finding the kidnapper in the shortest amount of time.

Toast Addicted Theft
You’re playing as a slice of toast and your friend who’s also a slice of toast has stolen your blackberry jam and you need to chase him to get it back, similar to subway surfer but a side view. On the app store and most likely aimed at a younger audience like younger kids or young teens.

Reliable Mug Critic
Essentially a critic simulator game except you have to critique various mugs. You need to type a paragraph or so about each mug that gets shown to you and you get bonus points for grammar, vocabulary and punctuation. Though it has its humorous side I can imagine it might be used in schools to help encourage better writing skills and the format of a game like this might help. Made for 12+ on the PC.

Pony Sailor
You’re a pony lost at sea and you and your crew need to survive various weather conditions like storms, creatures etc to find land. On the app store, the game is played in waves (no pun intended) where you can shop and upgrade your ship and your pony/crew after each wave, each wave obviously escalating in difficulty. I imagine it may be a game for all ages due to its humour and comedy like demeanour.

Forecast Academy
An anime game on steam where you enrol in an academy with the best weather reporters around the world. To win you need to beat your class mates and become the best weather reporter. The game is played by successfully reading the map on various weather broadcasts and dealing with other characters in the academy trying to sabotage you. I guess this could be for anyone over the age of 10/11, basically anyone old enough to understand what’s happening and what weather reports are.

Injury Attic
You’re an aspiring medical student in a poor and post apocalyptic world, despite not having your license/degree yet, you run an illegal hospital from your attic. Definitely a game for steam, you need to do operations and give patients the right medicine whilst avoiding what is the law/police of the post apocalyptic world. There is no ending as such to this game, just need to run the ‘Injury Attic’ for as long as possible and the longest amount of days wins. This game would be a 16+ because it would be a ‘real life’ situation kind of game and more realistic graphics so there’s going to be gore.

Nightmare Cell
You wake up in a prison cell but notice the whole place is abandoned... for the time being. It’s a horror game like Amnesia where there will be jump scares of creatures haunting this prison as you try to find your way out with whatever you can find. 16+ because I don’t think there is going to be enough inappropriate material in the game for the age rating to be any higher, just a lot of jump scares and horror aspects to it.  Made for PC with realistic graphics.

Sign Cat
A game which teaches the player sign language. Tibbers the cat makes the hand signs on the screen and you need to type what the hand sign means. As you advance and develop your sign language Tibbers will go from words to sentences and will want you to translate, getting correct answers puts you on the next stage and will unlock bonus points to buy cosmetics for Tibbers the cat. You can also spend these points on lifelines where you can spend one to reveal a word in a sentence. Maybe on the app store but potentially an educational game on PC for students.

Faithful Crisis
A fantasy MMORPG on the app store for iPad. Similar feel to World of Warcraft where you make a character, pick its race, pick its class and level it up through quests and missions whilst exploring the vast world of the game. Will have both PVP and PVE aspects to it. 8+ since it will contain mild violence.

Cemetery Treat

A gimmicky app store game for Halloween where you play as a friendly ghost trick or treating to other ghosts and zombies etc. Is a maze like game where you need to find other undead for sweets and cant be seen by kids since they cant know of your existence. Imagine Pacman but the ghosts are kids and their parents. Probably an app store game for kids.
