Once I finished my prototype I then asked fellow peers to play test my game for me, giving me feedback and criticism. I will list all the positive and negative feedback below.
Feedback:
- 'The game plays well'
- 'Love the music and Sound' (nearly everyone said this)
- Couldn't tell whether the Brown Leaves were good or bad, moving so fast they could only see 500 not -500 (50% of play testers said this)
- One person said they were starting to get a headache after playing for a while because of the bright colours and the speed
- One tester said there should be more of a saturation difference between the background and the Green Leaves as they were quite similar and felt like they started to merge
- Another person said that there should be a death screen instead of it ending and going back to UE4
- Multiple playtesters mentioned they couldnt read the warning signs at the start because they were too blurry
- 3 play testers mentioned that they felt like they game needed one or two more things added to it, like another powerup or another enemy/obstacle
- 2 play testers were surprised that the game had no double jump
- 2 play testers experienced an issue jumping through one of the platforms at the start where they didnt jump through they just bounced off, this only happened once to each of them and in another attempt to experience the bug it didnt happen again.
- One player said to change the colour of the health because theyre a similar colour the -500 leaves so they avoided them thinking they were bad
